Good morning ,
I have a praise report!!!
First, let me back up a little, and tell you what’s been going on.
We have been seeing a therapist for a few months now. It was right after the New Year, and all extracurricular activities had been cancelled due to unacceptable behavior for Denver, our 10 year old. I was mad. I told the therapist (let’s just call her Ms. T) that I wasn’t taking her to gymnastics, even though Denver made a good point that this was taking away healthy exercise. Ms. T looked me dead in the face and said “She is right”, to which I said, “I know, but I’m just so angry.” She said, “You can’t take away healthy things. You have to give her more positive things to do.”
I walked out feeling even worse. I was working backwards. I wanted to be right, but I knew how we were doing things had already been proven ineffective.
Over the past few weeks, we have done a lot more, which means I’ve been quite the busy lady and Denver has been much more pleasant.
Due to our busier schedule, I have had to be a better planner with my days, but somedays, somethings just don’t get done. Some days I haven’t been able to post. Some days, I don’t have time to check all the things I used to check. Some days, I barely get any work done.
Now, I’m going to be very honest with you (and I share this to encourage you). In the midst of this we have not been in the best financial situation so I had paused our giving. I was so convicted about it I ended up giving something last Monday. I gave something which would seem like a little to some, but God knew what that was for us.
Now, let’s fast forward to last week. Last Tuesday to be exact. I received an order from a new customer for over $100. That’s a huge deal for my small business. I made a post about it to give God praise, because what a blessing.
Fast forward to this past Sunday, I received 3 new customer orders and 3 returning customers in 1 day. This is without running a sale or launching a new product. I was just in awe at how God shows up.
I haven’t been still in a sense of doing nothing like some people relate stillness to. The Bible tells us to rest, yes. But the Bible also tells us to work, to be like the ant. I’ve been working in a non-traditional way. I’ve been seeking the Lord for understanding. I’ve been trusting the Lord. And I’ve been leaning on him to teach me and guide me.
And then all this happened and I just needed to share it with you. I know it’s easy to run to do all the things the world tells us to do to create success. It’s easy to busy ourselves with worries and keeping up with the women on social media who seem to have it all figured out. But there is something about being in the presence of God and relying on him as our provider.
God knows every second of our day. He knows every cent we’ll ever make. This last week has encouraged me to continue on the path. This isn’t about doing nothing. It’s about being still and knowing God is exactly who He says he is.
