Good morning ,

A few weeks ago, I celebrated 6 years of being a small business owner. After my anniversary sale, I was overjoyed by the amount of support I received. It was our most profitable month since April 2025. What a blessing!

At the same time, I was overwhelmed at how much product I needed to make to fill all the orders. It got me thinking even more about scaling my small business. I have goals to get into spas, gyms, boutiques, and wax studios.

I’ve been praying for God to grant me a certain dollar amount of profit every month. I’m not expecting this to happen overnight. That would be a nightmare. However, I am praying that God allows me to reach this number this year.

I was getting close in 2024, but everything changed when I started homeschooling. Homeschooling wasn’t an issue at first because we used an online curriculum. I was more of a support than a teacher. Last year, profits declined because I went all in on being the teacher, and I worked in my business much less. 

The good news is that profits are pretty consistent. The bad news is that it’s hard to scale due to the number of products I have. The reality is that profits won’t increase without scaling. 

My daughter will be starting 7th grade in the Fall, and I will be outsourcing 2 subjects, giving me some of my time back. Over the past few months, I’ve been thinking, overthinking, and finally, I decided to move forward with my ideas. 

Over the anniversary sale, I announced we are discontinuing the body butters, hair oil, and lash oil due to a lack of demand and the cost of goods. There may be a few other products that will be discontinued based on how the rest of this year goes. 

With my current product list, I am looking to elevate some of my formulas. After 6 years, I have grown in my product knowledge and formulation skills. There are so many products I have that customers love, that I know could be better, but I haven’t had the opportunity to improve them. 

This year, I made a hard decision not to release any new products, except for a body bar. I have to let you guys try the charcoal & rosemary body bar for summer. coming soon

Instead of launching new products this year, I’ve chosen to enhance my products and tighten up my formulas. This will also allow me to improve my production process. This is scary, but I’m excited. 

I want to leave you with this. Sometimes prayer is all you can do, and I’m there right now in motherhood. But other times, prayer involves taking action.

Of course, God can answer my prayer and give me this dollar amount by the end of this month. However, that’s typically not how God works with me, and I’m grateful. I love how He takes me through the process and is a part of all the little details. 

I wanted to share this with you because I believe in transparency, and I want you to know that the decisions I make, I do not make lightly. I trust that God is going to guide me in these next steps. I’ll be sharing more in the next few weeks.
