Good morning ,
One of the things I have been praying for over the last few months is for God to fill me with more of his nature. When we are filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, there is no room for anger, bitterness, fear, anxiety, or shame.
2026 has tested me. It’s revealed my many shortcomings. It's exposed things I thought I had worked through, but really, I just buried the emotions. It’s shown me that the more I know about God’s nature, the more I realize how much I need him. I’ve learned that I was holding on to things I didn’t know were causing me to hold anger and resentment.
When I’ve been faced with difficult times this past week, I’ve prayed for God to fill me with his peace, love, and wisdom. I’ve relied on him to help me breathe, instead of spiraling in my thoughts. I’m praying this for others as well.
I cannot explain the grief I have felt as a mom these past couple of years. It’s been hard, but it’s brought me to a place of surrender once again. I know that God will get me through this. I hope you have that same hope for your situation.
Psalm 34:16 says, “The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and his ears towards their cry.” This tells me he sees me, and he hears my prayers. Now, when and how he answers is only for him to decide. A few verses earlier in Psalm 34:8 it says, “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!” Regardless of what we experience on earth, God is good, and those who take refuge in him are blessed. This is good news for us.
This week, let us continue to pursue the nature of God and ask him to make us more and more like his nature.
