This serum combines distilled water and sodium hyaluronate to create hyaluronic acid, which helps deeply hydrate and retain moisture in the skin. Sodium Hyaluronate is a water-soluble form of hyaluronic acid with a smaller molecular size, allowing it to penetrate deeper into the skin for better hydration.
Since water is present, a preservative is necessary to keep the product fresh and prevent bacteria or mold growth. Caprylyl Glycol, derived from coconut, serves as a gentle preservative while also conditioning the skin.
